The Spacefleet Club

We are setting up the Spacefleet Club in order to give you a chance to get involved directly in the Spacefleet Project, to build the SF-01, which, we believe, is the most exciting of all the passenger space flight vehicles that are planned for the space tourism market. It looks better, it will give a better experience of space flight and it will fly higher and further than any of the others. As well as that, it will be the only one that has no climate-damaging carbon dioxide emissions.

As you might expect, money is hard to find, especially for a start-up company in a new market. Traditional sources of finance like banks and venture capital institutions won’t take the risk, and those millionaires who are interested in space travel will prefer to make their own arrangements. So, we have to do it another way. The Spacefleet Company is already making money in a very small way, and we will look into ways of expanding our business, but our first priority will be the project to design and build the SF-01. To make a start, we have to find around €150,000 to do a preliminary study, which will give us a detailed design and full-work-out business plan for the SF-01, that we can present to a financier. That’s where you come in. With a large enough club membership, we could raise the sum needed to do that preliminary study.

So, the Spacefleet Club is a great deal different from almost all other space interest societies you could join. With them you get a glossy magazine and maybe a discount off some merchandise. With us you would be taking part in a project to build a spaceship. What’s more, your precious membership fees would not get frittered away in fixed costs, like buildings and people's salaries. We are paying no-one (until the project succeeds) and we don’t have premises to keep up. Everything you put in via your membership fee will end up as part of the project.

If you join with us, we will keep you up to date, through a well-produced postal news-letter, with the progress we are making, our thinking and our strategies. You will have an opportunity to contribute your thoughts and ideas. There will be discounts on the merchandise that we intend to sell in the near future, and other advantages. There will be exclusive conferences and other events for club members, and, of course, you will be first in the queue for discounted tickets to fly on the SF-01.

Membership of the Spacefleet Club costs £45 per year for a full membership (Vellum certificate and posted news letter) or £15 for associate membership (electronic newsletter and membership certificate by email).

Please apply by post, enclosing a cheque for £45 or £15, payable to “The Spacefleet Club” to:
